I Saw You…[34]

September 6, 2009

poetry in transit

I Saw You…

as you fingers moved

a mile a minute

as you diligently texted

whoever it was

you needed to speak with

seemingly urgently

this early in the morning.

And I wonder,

when your hands begin to ache

and your wrists are numb from carpal tunnel,

will that message still seem

so very important?

  1. Thanks, my humor seems to come from mostly sarcasm.

  2. This is a great poem! The sarcasm totally brings the voice out. I feel this was a lot, so I can relate.
